Usually, this is where you see the finished garments. A skirt, a top, a set in a color that you might be particularly drawn to. But before a garment ends up in the webshop, there are many big and small decisions behind it.
So, I thought I would take you behind the scenes! What am I actually thinking about when it comes to the clothes, and what is it that I am so incredibly meticulous about?
Pretty is just the beginning
I love beautiful colors and combinations, but a garment must also feel good when you wear it. You should be able to reach for a ball, run across the court, and focus on the game.
That is why I put a lot of care into the fit. How does the top fit? How does the skirt’s waistband feel? Does the garment have a length and shape that you feel comfortable in?
These are things that might not always be visible in a product photo, but that play a big role once the clothes are on.
Quality is important to me. Really.
I want you to be happy when you open your package and continue to be happy with the garments after you have worn them many times.
Therefore, the feel of the material, how the garment is sewn, and how it holds up during use and washing are important parts for me. The goal is to create clothes that retain their nice feel over time, wash after wash.
These should be garments you use a lot and love to come back to. That skirt you prefer to play in, or the top you search for in the laundry before the next match. These are exactly the kind of favorites I want to create. 💛
Small details that mean a lot
A comfortable waistband, built-in shorts that feel good, and a pocket that works when you play. It may sound like small things, but on the court, they are noticeable.
I like it when design and function go hand in hand. That a practical detail also feels like a natural part of the garment and that the overall result is both beautiful and well-thought-out.
You should feel comfortable, be able to move, and at the same time feel: "Yes, this is me!"
Colors you will want to wear
The colors are one of the most fun parts for me! I think about both how a set looks together and how the garments can be combined with things you already have.
Maybe you want the same color for the top and skirt. Maybe you want to mix a colorful top with a more neutral bottom. I like that there is room to make the combination your own.
And even if I might get stuck on a certain color myself, I also have to think about the big picture. Is this something you will want to wear often? Does it fit in with the rest of the collection?
Your thoughts matter
What I hear from you means so much. When you tell me how a garment fits, which style you love playing in, or which color you are missing, I get a better picture of what you actually want.
Felize León is my small business, and it is me on the other side when you write. Seeing your photos from the court makes me so happy, honest feedback, and messages saying that you have found a new favorite.
